Letters To Our Children | March Edition

This month is for you, Ella.

My firstborn. They certainly broke the mold when they made you. An original, for sure.

Brimming with enthusiasm, endless energy, countless projects (you just made your own website to sell the pillows you sew. You’re seven. And I am impressed:). You prefer cartwheeling to walking, sweats to dresses and uncombed hair to brushed.

Watching you leave your heart out on the soccer field is one of my favorite things to do, ever. You are fearless. And I love that. The rips in your jeans from playing football with the boys at recess (“I scored two touchdowns. I am faster than them, mom!”) make me smile. You wear your heart on your sleeve and are proud of who you are. You rock, my kid. I love you, E.
