Beach Toys. {personal}

Sure, we got the girls beach balls, sand buckets and shovels and frisbees to play with at the beach this week while we’re on vacation.  For me?  I rented myself an underwater camera (A Sea and Sea from lens rentals.com if you’re interested in details.)

It is so much fun.  I messed around with it in the pool all day, well, between that and playing with the actual beach toys for the kids. Here’s the results of my play..and some regular shots from day 2.

Ella even took this one of me and Mike. Our one picture together for the week. 🙂

Lisa - Well, I shall cry now. My underwater photos are nowhere near the quality of yours. I hate you. 🙂 Not really…but I’m going to keep trying. I need some kids who will go underwater with me. My son is too nervous to just yet. 🙂

admin - ha! my girls are such waterbabies…but the little one today for the first time ever insisted on no vest, at all. made for better pictures, for sure. 🙂 can you put your son in a tube and shoot from below? always a cool look.

Lisa - I’m going to try shooting from below while he’s wearing his floaties I think. I was showing him these photos just now, but explained I’m not showing him to pressure him into going under water…that’s all up to him and I won’t do that for photos (I’ll just steal my nieces some day before summer is over. 🙂 and he said “That one is my favorite!!!” and pointed to the fourth one down. He also couldn’t figure out how your daughter went under water without plugging her nose. I said, “I have no idea because I always get water up my nose when I do that.” lol!

Inga K - WOW, these underwater shots are amazing!!!! Truly inspirational. If you don’t mind me asking what camera and water protection do you use? I’d love to one day be able to take photos of my munchkin underwater. Thanks 🙂

admin - Hi Inga! Thanks so much. I rented a sea and sea underwater camera, with housing, for this vacation, but honestly, not sure I needed all that much camera for the kind of shots I was taking. Just bought a cheap point and shoot and will let you know how that works!
